The tualeron SMP won't work. And from experience, a P3-S would smoke the OCed tualeron anyways. Looks like a nice board, though!

I tried setting the fan to 100% in the performance table. Unfortunately this doesn't take effect until the drivers are loaded. So the fan whines until then. I'm just going to run it off a molex plug. Actually the FX 2000 only seems to run 100% briefly on initial power up. It spins down after that, before Windows drivers even load. It stays at the low speed until 3D is activated at which point it runs maybe 50%. This is similar to how the ATI Radeon X series blowers work but those are bigger …

Around 30 3.5" floppies: I keep around 10 with drivers, boot disks, and bios updates. The rest I use with an old Mavica I like to mess around with 😀

I don't know the status of your build and your bucket list from the original post, but why not join points 2 and 3? Get an Audigy2 and use its firewire header for your case! The sound card is worth it, imo.
