Ultima Underworld is certainly not playable on a 386SX25 (no cache) using ANY settings unless your definition of playable is a stuttering slideshow..

Most issues with Cyrix CPUs was due to WB cache IIRC.

There is a distinct tonal difference between SB Pro and SB 16 to my ears but I am hard pressed to differentiate SB 16 from ESFM (such as ES1688 ES1868 etc.). The sample here sounds fine to me..

I'm trying to get Indy256 and Monkey Island to work with my K5-PR166 system and the patched EXEs still return divide by zero errors.. Has anyone gotten these to work with a AMD K5?

To be fair the PII had very little market penetration until 440LX. Those things were damn expensive. I think they started to catch on when things like the Dell Dimension XPS D series hit the market.

I aldo dont think this sounds like static damage failure but tbh I wouldnt try any harder to diagnose and fix a S370 board they are fairly common.

Doom has 24% performance drop and Quake has 13% performance drop, and your analysis is that the former “displays relatively high dependency” and the latter “shows almost zero dependency”?

Millennium has no 3D, Mystique and Millennium II share the same 3D core and 2D acceleration enhancements. Millennium II has a higher freq and better quality DAC that Mystique. They are all great cards.
