Shit, that SiS 6326 is an absolute dog.. I will be doing a similar test on my current Socket 7 PC at some point. I have a crap ton of PCI cards to test with it.

How to check a Dallas RTC for dead batteries

Is there a way to check and make sure a Dallas RTC chip has juice left? I have a board that needs one, and a chip with a manufacture date of 2005 but I don't know if it has power left or not, and I would rather be able to check before I order a new one..

I believe Ancient Electronics on YouTube has a video about the PCChips M915, it's a quirky and flaky cheapass board but it gets the job done if you are short of other Socket 3 options..

They are transistors and may have failed, you can check their output voltages with a multimeter.
