I bet that extra stick of 512 is what the problem is. I hear more then 512MB of RAM will make Win98 act strange.

I can't remember if Quake 2 creates a config.cfg or not, I assume it does. Delete that so it resets all your game/graphic settings. Maybe something is set to an incorrect value that your Radeon doesn't like.

Welcome! I love the idea behind these Toughbooks, especially back then. I use laptops at work and my gloves are always wet and make it hard to use the stupid touchpad. I think touch screen laptops would be a nice upgrade someday haha.

Good luck with your Voodoo4, I've always wanted to get my hands on one of those. Even if it isn't much more then a Voodoo3 with 32MB of VRAM. It would be a blast to overclock one and run some benchmarks of course. 😎

I picked up a Dell Dimention L800R today from a local ad. Not a bad little PC but lacks a AGP slot. The insides were spotless and all the components looks brand new. Even smelled new! Lol Pentium 3 @800Mhz 128MB SDRAM Intel 810 motherboard. 10GB IDE hard drive Will go perfect with my Voodoo 3.
