Yeah, those do not exist. I believe the quicker seek/access time of CF compared to HDDs make up for the low MB/s.

Cute Mouse is very small in size and free to use. Combatibility has been perfect for me so far. (Seems like Sourceforge is down for maintenance.)

I love my Voodoo 3. Got it overclocked nice and high and cooled with a 120mm fan. 😎 It's the PC I use the most. great era of gaming, 1998-2001.

Call me an oddball, but this is how I do my computing, or PC gaming rather. Reclined in a leather chair with the PC hooked up along with my consoles to the same TV. I had Home Depot cut a board for me to fit the mouse and keyboard on my leather recliner. Nahh... My best friend uses his PC this way. …

The problem that the OP describes happens with emulated PCs as well. I created a build almost exactly like your setup (so I'm jealous) and using the shareware version of Quake the exact same problem happens. Switched to the retail version and all it fine.

I setup a '96 era PC using PCem, and with the Voodoo 1 6MB, and a P200 Quake 2 runs pretty good at 640x480 aswell. I don't think Quake 2 was all that demanding IMO.

I was under the impression that the reflective floors in Unreal were just mirrored geometry with a transparent floor texture.

I was looking at a 9800XT 128MB AIW card unopened in box for $50, but picked up a x800XT 256MB for $10 instead for my 2004 PC.
