VLB, Not PCI. M912 Is this “Symphony” chipset any good ? Nothing spectacular. Also SIMM30, which is a pain.

Some BIOS chips legs are very rusty, so don't get your hopes up. Maybe ISA slots are in bad shape too, especially two from the bottom. Everything else is so dirty that it's hard to judge.

Like me, if you want a P60/66, is just "to have it", to experiment with such rare and historically milestone. It is the only x86 system in which there is practically only one CPU, 60/66 is a very small difference. This makes it, together with other features, a very mysterious collector's piece. …

so they just pile over each other in boxes (best case currently) or on my workshop's table (worst case scenario). Store them vertically in a big box. Problem solved.

I have four, all do 150MHz (3x50) without complaint but either don't boot at all or aren't stable at 160MHz (4x40). With 4V?

Bottom line: PCI Socket 3 with Am5x86 160Mhz will provide better experience for the most games they both can run adequately. Or at the very least it will be on par with Socket 4 P66 in some scenarios (Quake).

If you want practical build for DOS and early Win9x, find 430TX board and use Pentium MMX. This setup is very tweakable for gaming.

one thing about running 320x200 in build games btw, it gives screen tearing because page flipping is only supported in the VESA LFB modes. Build games can use VESA 320x200, if your card support it or can add support through UniVBE.

Will the Voodoo2 run at 66 MHz? Potentially yes. There was Obsidian2 AGP card, which seemingly works without any bridge chip of sorts.

SIS 496 don't have integrated IDE. It's provided via Winbond/UMC I/O chip. Which is, presumably, connected to ISA bus.
