there are no good PCI Express Replacements for a geforce 4. PCX 5900. My focus wasn't ISA but there are at least some industrial boards with the 855GME chipset that have ISA. Lack of AGP kinda kills it.

The pro 4 is defiantly a lot better It isn't. Especially for games.

Audigy 4 Pro is Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro with a different DAC. You don't need to look for it specifically and you don't loose anything significant buying Audigy 2 ZS. Then again, why bother with EMU10K2 cards, if X-FI is better for XP in every way?

External console is compatible with almost all PCI X-Fi cards. There are plenty of those sold separately.

No. Driver settings => System setting => Overclocking will show the correct numbers. Anyway, that's not important. The card can overclocked via Powerstrip just as fine.

I can believe people played Quake at <10fps. Not sure about <10fps, but 486DX 133Mhz with 10-15fps is at least bearable. Most of us probably ran Doom at 20fps, and it was revolutionary. Doom, for the most part, is fine on 20fps. Because shooting is aim assisted. Quake has no such luxury. That …

If not, then get an Audigy 2 ZS. You can use Audigy 2 ZS for DOS too. Anyway, the best Windows XP sound card for games is Creative X-Fi Elite Pro, X-Fi Fatal1ty or X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty.

Quake runs at about 4 fps, but is perfectly playable and very responsive Authentic low-end PC experience has gone too far!

Well 7800 GS is based on G70 Actually it could be both G70 and G71, depending on your luck. Driver doesn't care. Also, all 7800GS/7800GT/7900GS have active 16 ROPs.
