I also have the G450 PCI but that gives about the same performance as a pbase TNT2 G450 PCI is overclocking beast, you can achieve G400 MAX performance level with passive cooling.

You have problem with FBI memory. Problems with TMU memory will corrupt textures and geometry directly, without affecting frame buffer.

Some ALi Aladdin V chipset boards (maybe all of them) won't work if you didn't put RAM in specific order. Try to put your RAM in DIMM3 slot, which is closest to the north bridge.

You can reduce GPU voltage by editing BIOS. GeForce 6800GT is 1.3v, but you probably can tone it down to 1.1v (GeForce 6800LE). Forget about any overclocking after that though.

Did some further investigation and found photos of revision 1.1: Gigabyte GA-5AA revision 1.1.jpg Gigabyte GA-5AA revision 1.1 close.jpg Apart from the different PS/2 connector placement and 2-pin CPU fan, it's practically identical to the revision 2.2. Although maybe it doesn't support AMD K6Plus.

Windows relies quite heavily on chipset performance and much more snappy on 430HX even with P75.

Well, while the Voodoo 5 does not have a DX7 compatible T&L engine it can simulate T&L using geometry assist and produce faster results than standard FPU calculations in some cases. You need at least Pentium 3 for that.

Almost all new releases require day one patch to work properly. Spyro case was just outrageous enough to make noise in the news.

7800GS will work in a universal AGP, but Nvidia drivers to support it will cause problems on a Pentium 3 system. GeForce 6800 cards without HSI bridge are the last to work fine, but not on every driver version. Radeon HD 3850 or Radeon X1950 Pro will work fine though.

Will work with everything in theory, but there might be some local cases of incompatibility. I have some cards which absolutely refuse to work with ASUS P3B-F for example.
