AMD is not your friend though and will happily scam too, if they'll have opportunity. AM2 was very obviously dead on arrival and only few manufacturers had decent support for it.

G450 is somewhat tricky to OC due to weird multiplier thing going with core/memory ratop. But in general you can reach G400 Max level of performance. Well, not on PCI obviously, but close enough.

8 Gb RAM was a reasonable amount for Core 2 Quad 6xxx/Phehom 9xxx system. And quite pricy at that time, if you wanted good overclocked memory (1000-1066Mhz).
