I went through all the floppy drives I have (the ones that are not inside of a pc right now). There are differences in length of the floppy drives I have but they are very minor. Longest is about 15.5cm and shortest is about 14.5cm.

Interesting, can it properly lock AGP and PCI with HT overclocking? 1.02 doesn't have AGP/PCI lock. That is why if you want to overclock you should try to find rev. 2.0. The page that I downloaded the driver from didn't say anything about them being modified. It loads both setupds.exe /s that seem to set address to 220, irq 5 and dma 1 and dsdma.exe after that in autoexec.bat. I have not fiqured out if I could change the irq to 7 somehow. My a8v deluxe rev 2.0 southbridge chip says VT8237R and at least ymf724f-v pci card works in dos.

Like I said the build is almost finished. What made things easier was that my old late 2004 socket 939 motherboard had already win98 drivers for it so that is where I got the idea actually to make it into a hybrid between win98 and winXP.

It can go down to similar speeds as 4Mhz 286 would be with turbo and caches disabled and I can get correct speed with difficult to run games like wing commander and ultima 7. I never installed voodoo 2 drivers in win98se. I just installed voodoo 3 drivers for win98se and left voodoo2 for dos glide games.

I agree. I wouldn't concentrate on what cpus have to have a heat sink. Even cpus that produce less heat and work fine without one are better off while having one. using device=emm386.exe ram frame=d000 forces it to load, but it gives a warning when it loads. When checking memory using umbinfo program it seems that most of the stuff that were there from d000 onwards are moved to low memory, but I don't know if using it like this would make things unstable.

I tried copying memmaker from dos 6.22 earlier, but when it booted the computer, there was exactly same error. I can still download the driver in the upper memory area, so I assume there should be enough space. Would disabling peripherals in bios free more upper memory area?

So would overclocking the base clock affect hypertransport link speed even if hypertransport link speed is set separately elsewhere in bios? If I would set base clock at 220Mhz and hypertransport link speed is set to 1000Mhz, would hypertransport link speed stay at 1000Mhz or would it be 5x220Mhz?

As you can see in that bios picture second option from the top is "CPU FSB frequency" and default value for it is 200Mhz. If I set multiplier to 5.0, the cpu speed is 1000Mhz.
