Maybe the BIOS was damaged? Can you set it back to BIOS recovery mode and reprogramm the EEPROM?

The next troubleshooting step would be to get another older PCI graphics card and test it in the system to see wether the system does not like PCI graphics cards at all or if it just doesn't like the M64. Or maybe a different PCI card like an IDE controller to find out wether the bus works at all.

Your sticks are rated faster than what's required. As long as the chips are compatible with the motherboard and in the right organisation they should work. I would suppose the extra pin is meant to make sure the CPU is inserted correctly. Pin D4 is listed as 'Key' in the official datasheet.

If you are running them on the same motherboard they should perform identically to their 'native' 3.3V counterpart. It's the same core after all. 😀 But running them on a motherboard with 3.3V support kind of defeats their purpose.

PCB date and 64MB of VRAM suggest the older 4x variant. :-) However you can only be certain after removing the heatsink and looking at the chip. NV25 is the 4x chip, NV28 the 8x part. GeForce 256 32MB SDRAM. The three legged transistor plus the capacitor in the right upper corner are really characteristic for the reference design of both the SDR and DDR variant of the GF256. 😀 Sets it apart from the GF2 GTS and all TNT2 that might look similar at first glance. Keep it. 😉
