There's a two pin header you connect a sensor to right next to the voltage jumpers. The sensor with leads was not (edited, sry forgot this important word! 😅) included with the mobo and would usually be taped close to the center of the heatsink to get the closest approximation of the core temp.

The drive may be fine if you clean the heads. Some old floppies just disintegrate like that. Edit: And since you're expecting misalinged heads, don't try any adjustments unless you really know what you're doing. Just clean the heads carefully or with a cleaning disk.

If you can boot into DOS you could try to flash the BIOS. Maybe something got corrupted, maybe there's some fix for exactly your problem in a newer version? I just realised this isn't an option due to the F1 thing.🤦‍♂️ Do you have a way of externally flashing the BIOS EEPROM?

Try Memtest x86. It'll find memory errors. If it crashes it's more likely the CPU than RAM. Also given the age of the motherboard is Vcore stable in BIOS?
