You probably won't notice much difference. The 233 is 15% faster, but only in raw computing speed. Since the FSB stays the same, nothing else will get faster.

No, that's not possible. Speaker Out is amplified, Line Out is not - that's it. From the view of the sound card, these are not separate outputs.

Because it is a sound card ? But your question was mainly about SCSI. You really don't need the Adaptec software, it installs lots of unneeded crap anyway. As wrote before, grab the files from a Win9x boot disk. You need aspi4dos.sys and aspicd.sys (file names may differ).

I'm a big fan of the Ultima games and own all versions of U7. There's no copy-protection on the disks. You can even just dump them with WinImage and they will work.

J9 is for 8-bit mode (all closed = 8 bit, all open = 16 bit). No idea about the rest, there's normally not that much on a VGA card you need to configure.

I have the same problem with my MMX 200 build as well. The heatsink on the voltage regulator get so hot that you can only touch it for 2 or 3 seconds.
