That's a controller for the CM-205 CD-ROM drive. It's not a sound card, just a controller. ps: let me know if you don't need it. 😉

No HDD and sound card installed yet, but did a quick test to see how the case looks now when assembled. Not too bad. Have to cut the hole for the top I/O module still, but I don't think I'll re-attach this.

Aren't there Adlib Trackers that do exactly that? Not sure if any of these support a real MIDI keyboard, but who cares since OPL2/3 is no MIDI device anyway.

Started to re-assemble everything. There was a small damage by battery leakage on the lower side of the PSU board, but no other surprises. Also greased and re-sealed the fan (almost inaudible now). Only the floppy drive is still left for cleaning.

Used them for years for backup and still have many discs. After that, I got an early DVD-RAM drive which could read PD as well. Still own that, and it still works. 😀

Here's the EPSON SBC, front and back. Cleaned it from dust, re-attached the heatsink to the CPU, and replaced the all-black jumpers with color-coded ones. Looks like new.

Well, I'm not planning to hide the industrial look too much. I'm going to make a custom face plate for the front and also add some rubber feet, but that's it most likely. It will have a rough, but awesome look then (hope so at least).

You planning on installing an external CD-ROM drive that uses the Parallel port? I'm also guessing the card at the bottom is the SBC card that has all of the bells and whistles on there (VGA, COM, LPT, HDD, FDD, CPU, RAM, etc)? Wish I can get something like that. Also, the PSU header is weird. …

IRQ conflict most likely. Try using a different IRQ for the sound card.

That's because the ALS drivers are really well made. They install real-mode DOS support even if you install the Windows drivers only.

You don't need any drivers, the Zip100 IDE works out-of-the-box in Windows 98. Try GUEST.EXE in plain DOS. If that doesn't work, there's something wrong with the drive. (there's a Guest95 for Win9x as well, but test DOS first)
