Yes, those seem to fit. (are you from Germany, btw?) They are not needed for the monitor to work, however. You could also just leave them out.

To me it seems it wants to force-write something. IMO, you can hear it crank out the first track(0) OK, then (WILDBLAHBLAHHASHBBQ), then next track read is OK. I don't see anything unusual in the video. Surface scan normally reads a sector, erases and re-writes the data, reads it again and does a compare. If the disk is write-protected, it tries that for the first sector a couple of times and then goes over to a read-only check. Why do you do this at all? …

"fixed disk controller failure" is something you normally get with IDE when the CHS parameters are incorrect. Are you sure you have entered them correctly in the BIOS? Should be 958/12/34.

Next one from the pile of scrap mainboards, and that one is a true gem. A Biostar MB-1216H with a 286 @ 16 MHz and hardware EMS support. The battery was already removed long before it could leak; someone apparently took some care of the board in the past.

Did some more work on the ASRock K7S41GX mainboard. Updated the BIOS from 2.00 to 2.80, removed the 2x 256 MB PC2100 RAM modules and inserted a single 256 MB PC2700 module instead. 512 MB was a bit overkill and the PC2700 module is also faster, which is more important given only 64 KB L2 cache. …

Yes, you can connect a keyboard to it. The SC-7 is more a less a SC-55 Mk.II with GS/MT-32 features removed and in a much simpler case (no displays, no keys). It's perfectly fine for anything that does GM.
