I used satin white last time. That stuff is a bit hard to get in Germany, especially if you don't run a business (most don't sell to individuals), so I had a limited choice of colors. But if you have a beige case and want to keep its color, it would be RAL 9001.

If you want to do this under DOS, you need to install something like ICU (Intel Configuration Utility). Not sure if you can re-assign the MPU address, however, as PNP doesn't necessarily mean you can change the resources freely as you wish. Just try it.

Both VL and CR coin cells are Lithium batteries, with the VL series being rechargeable. And every modern device also uses rechargeable Lithium batteries. It's not the Lithium that decides whether a battery is rechargeable or not, but the material used in conjunction with it.

Personally, I would put the hard disk where it is supposed to sit (above the PSU) instead of blocking the second 3.5" bay, do some cable management, put brackets on the unused slots, etc. And add a case badge. You can look up the POST codes for that BIOS here: http://www.bioscentral.com/postcodes/amibios.htm If your diag card shows two numbers, check its manual to see what the numbers mean.

Try a format using the BIOS of the SCSI card. Most SCSI cards offer that feature in their BIOSes.
