Could be low quality ram purchased somewhere weird place and as time goes on, owner had to replace few with another chip as they fail over time? Problem is I don't have all the parts. 80ns SIMMs are what I don't have, right now. Not bought yet. I still have alternative that I can consider is IBM 3 chips using 3 bit ICs of their IBM design and still sold in bulk. I have one with filled 8MB of 70ns dram SIMMs on this 386DX 40 board. Even standard or tight timings will I need 70ns at all? If not, I'd be very happy to reuse SIMMs in another board with 486dx 33 and populate the 386DX board with 80ns as they are easier to get. Cheers,

Once again, the datasheet for the 64 and 65 *explicitly* not supported for dual channel. I had to read carefully and found the note. The dotted lines for second channel also says future design. I really wanted this nonsense put to bed for once and all. Cheers,

Please note, the datasheet did explicitly said 64 and 65 chips are not supported for dual channel even the dotted lines for future dual channel is shown yet the datasheet said not. Cheers,

Best way is design the 3 phase VRM. Much more efficient and can be oscillating at higher frequency and smoother DC for the processor, most especially overclocking success. Ahh, borderline design of certain chipsets for socket 462 boards. Ugh. Like I said, mine barton CPU and VIA chipset board (Asus), crashes often when there is very demanding game in use. I was using a Geforce2 MX with this and this game was "Uru: Ages Beyond Myst" and demanding games. Cheers,

The most hot component on these cards is RDRAM memory. Early revisions had additional placement on PCB for 2Mb RAM for future more powerful pin compatible chips, but it was quickly scrapped. Max core clocks is same for 128 and ZX at 100MHz. Some cores with 90 to 95MHz. Memory can be anywhere from 100, 95 and 90MHz; even less. 128 is AGP 1x, and ZX is AGP 2x. Is SGRAM better than SDRAM, at same clocks, is this correct?
