Don't buy latched SATA cables. The latch tend to not unlatch. I occsaionally had seen one that wouldn't unlatch at all. This meant sore fingers or grab pair of pliers and bite hard then carefully wiggle free. Cheers,

That was prior to later updates on Win 10 which removed the usb 3.0 support on ivy bridge chipsets. This to create OS installers on external storage other than USB pen drives. Use Alt + F command to do that. Not doing this, external drives wouldn't be exposed. I used a external drive and a SATA SSD. Does work. I installed windows 10 on a PC this way. Much faster. Cheers,

Installed win 10 pro on blank 1TB ssd on a Latitude 3350. By the way, Latitude 3350 is no longer easily found on parts, was used to be easily found 2 years prior. Just move on to another HP newer notebook. Cheers,
