I would go with a Radeon 9800 Pro or a MEDION Radeon 9800XXL (can be found cheap on ebay in Europe) for DX9 compatibility. Had a similar card in combination with Athlon XP 2600+ and was a good combo. Radeon 9250 seems too slow for your cpu to me and you would loose alot of performance.
