I use a pair of MA-15D for my retro DOS rig and I really like them. Behringer also makes several speakers that are pretty much the same that also work well.

Thanks folks. I wasn't aware of the 11 khz thing. Is there a recommendation for an alternative card to add in for digital/MIDI other than the relatively expensive Hard MPU card? The best choice for something that just works in my opinion would be this card http://www.pcmidi.eu/ Not the cheapest …

In my experience the slowdown/pausing in Duke 3D and TIE fighter is so bad that it makes the games unplayable. I haven´t tested this extensively but I remember starting the games and going "this is unplayable in practice" and getting a dedicated MPU-401 card. AFAIK, that is only present if you run …

I received two of these cards today, after disabling COM2 on my 486 computer and setting the jumpers on the PS/2 card everything worked great and now I have a MX518 mouse for my DOS gaming, nice to not have to use a ball mouse anymore 😀

The clear CMOS jumper was indeed there on the motherboard but it wasn´t actually a jumper, just 2 solder points that could be shorted. Is it still misbehaving like that with the old Dallas chip (just to make sure the new RTC is the culprit) ? When I inserted the old RTC things work like they should apart from the fact that no settings are saved since the battery is dead. There should be a "clear CMOS" jumper somewhere on the board …
