IIRC the config files let you remap them, so could map them to keycodes that don't exist on the cabinet keyboard (But maybe do on another one you've got for service)

Checked my ALI board, the RTC and FSB crystals had nothing visible on outward face, the one by the southbridge did say KSC9B which seems hard to look up but some suppliers pages were offering me other 32khz crystals from that search.

You can get leverage problems cracking the socket solder joints if you're not suuuuper careful with long plugs and adapters.

One of the Virge would be great I think. Test the V2 with it when everything is up and running. Though MMX doesn't really let the V2 stretch it's legs so you might want it in another box down the road.
