It's basically an FPGA on it isn't it? So you could make it what you want, apple II emulation card or something 🤣 Edit: Though that might be close to original purpose, emulating a weirdass IBM terminal or speaking mainframe to whisper sweet nothings in an AS/400s ear or something.

I wouldn't mind if it's done like Flash, Supergirl etc, I find those watchable. Plus CW comes in good on the antenna and I can PVR it with a Hauppage card.

Yes, you could set to Epson FX-80 emulation mode and forget about it, most dot matrixes, early inkjets supported it too, but didn't look so good as they could do if you did that. Tendency to spidery looking fonts.

I would say there's more of a chance that the pad didn't burn off from heat so much as got eaten off by boiling acid.. flux is not necessary for desoldering IMO. Printer drivers exist for windows versions, but on DOS they exist for applications. i.e. you need a WordPerfect printer driver or a Lotus 1-2-3 printer driver etc.

Factors... does motherboard support legacy mode USB? does anything else USB work in DOS? is the USB adapter a full parallel port and not just a printer adapter? do you care if you have to work in a fullscreen DOS prompt under Win98SE?
