I rescued the P3bf mobo from recycler center. The mobo looks good condition but the ASUS ASIC chip is demaged. In the manual only says something like a hardware monitor. So no luck?

I suprised how the c3 800 tdp is very lower than a P1. In term of power is more or less a P2 266. I have a vortex 1 card. I just checked at vogons drivers library and dont see any driver for pure dos. Using on my P4 and the sound for win98 games looks better than Ensoniq PCI. Also i find a VIA C3 800mhz and i would test with my ASUS TU4VX for setmul settings. No sure if lowering the cpu clock …

So the VIA c3 Erza would be compatible with a SLOT 1 board with VIA Appolo pro chipset? I found one but i dont have a slotket. I have a Asus one with Appolo pro and P3b-f with Bx.
