Your board has a 3.6 V Vcc option? Did you mess around with the cyrix DLC register settings? I think there was an A20 option in there. At least define which OS you're talking about. DOS doesn't use any accelerators, so it's purely a matter of how effective the framebuffer handles what you throw at it, and how fast you can do that. In other OSs chips can do all kinds of stuf and you'll see bigger differences.

A lot of P2-333 Deschutes were unlocked. That made them great for overclocking as you could lower the multiplier and run them at 100MHz FSB. Most clocked well past 400MHz.
