Note that those figures are for the same 100MHz FSB, which really shows how slow the 693A is. I was referring to 133MHz on the 693A vs 100 on BX, which the BX still wins (!) but with a reduced margin.

That eBay auction is very fishy... the image shows SIMMs with KM44C1000BJ-6 chips. Those are 1Mx4 4Mb chips. A SIMM with 16 of those chips is only 8MB, not 64MB as claimed. For 64MB you'd generally use 8 16Mx4 (64Mb) chips, or alternately 16 8Mx4 (32Mb) chips. I strongly doubt you actually got 64MB …

Via 693A is a bad performer regardless, but that matters least with as high an FSB as possible with a relatively low multiplier. That P3-733EB would do fine. It would perform only marginally worse than a P3-700E would on a BX board (such as that P2B).
