Also works fine & very easily under dos, look for the mTCP suite. Even something as old as an XT (or indeed PC Jr 😉 ) will happily share files with your server.

No downside to using a larger DIMM that is only partly being addressed. It's a "waste", but if it's easier to source the larger module, that's not really an issue. As for caching, that only happens over the addressed area (it's one layer up, logically speaking), so only the memory actually detected …

That's a regular P55C? It's a pretty cool CPU and doesn't need anything bigger than the CPU itself. Just go for a square heatsink with ~3cm-4cm high vanes and a simple 50mm fan on top. Shouldn't foul either AGP or DIMM.
