When you could go down to any corner store, pick up a SD card for a few dollars and partition as you see fit - why bother looking for a manky old heavily used SD card?

The Apple flashed cards did come with DVI, but it's not unheard of for the PCI only cards to be flashed to Mac. Either way, it'll be good to check if the firmware is OK regardless.

Great machine, if not one of the best, for DOS and early Windows 9x games (think Diablo, Quake and below). The active screen will be fine with minimal ghosting but I do find a lot of Toshiba screens suffer from poor brightness (either that or we have it too good now).

Yep, that's the one! The heatsinks were stock in such '040 systems and I've seen them bundled in some aftermarket '040 clock crystal overclocking kits too, usually with a 486 style fan on top.

I believe that's for a 68040 CPU, specifically in a Mac such as a Quadra 9x0 or 8x0. It clips onto the CPU die itself and is easily removed.

It depends on the climate - much easier to see an effect in the Australian sun, than other locales 😀 I only retrobrite in summer, in a peroxide/oxy crystal bath in direct sun - a day of it works wonders.
