Too bad the Presario 850 is probably going to arrive first so I won't be able to do that BIOS update until after that. The BIOS files and most of the drivers seem to download just fine, but unfortunately the manuals seem to be dead links. You should be able to get through it on your own though. …

Unzip the attached in a new directory, and follow the instructions in the text file. When you come to finally boot & run the recovery floppy, if you want to see any screen output you'll need a different primary video card too (ideally not Matrox) but the process works just as well 'running blind' …

Maybe an issue with the card(s) bios - I've had to run the bios recovery floppy on my Matrox G200 AGP (G2+/MILA/8BI/20 with 8 + 8MB SGRAM) before as it seemed to have gone slightly loopy (blank screen) in storage.

Reviews did mention this - they shared a PCB with different NB/SB chips and the KD7A had one less internal USB header and no SATA ports.
