My board has Hitachi HM62832HP 25ns 32Kx8 SRAM chips and a Mitsubishi M5M5178BP-15 8Kx8 TAG chip. Keropi's board has a w2465ak-15 as the TAG SRAM, which is also an 8Kx8 chip. I didn't know that it used a smaller TAG cache :) The pinouts are different enough between the 32kx8 chips and 8kx8 chips …

The board in that picture (which I also have) seems to be a clone of the BEK P405 motherboard: https://www.instagram.com/p/BjsYiyqgp4y/ So it's quite likely that the manufacturer that used the 8028 BIOS ID either cloned or made OEM variants of motherboards.

I put some similar ebay bought M11B416256A-25J chips on a Voodoo 2 8mb card to upgrade it to 12mb - the additional memory seems to work fine, though I haven't overclocked the card at all.
