The Tekram sadly has a different super I/O, it also outputs "Host Adapter Config Error" when the SCSI BIOS appears. The AI5TH won´t recognize L2 cache at all and hangs at the summary screen. I googled and found out that ThinkCentre A52 (type 8153, ...) supports dual-core P4 well as a BIOS is fresher (2009). But it's incompatible, IMO (BIOS chip types and SIO manufacturers are very different)

I tried different method. The SCSI OpROM was extracted, modified and inserted back into the original BIOS image. So when the modded SCSI ROM runs its code modifies 52h register setting bit#2 into "1". P.S. Thanks pinczakko for his book and IDA scripts

So the BIOS is the latest. Have you tried to "Clear CMOS" or just extract a CMOS battery from the socket ? P.S. It might be that your CPU model / stepping is not in a whitelist
