Thats more a Win3x build. Will it play MP3's? For Win95 you really want a Pentium 200mhz or better. Even the AMD 5x86-133 will NOT play MP'3's very good. The IBM 755 is easy to repair because the keyboard flips open to expose the hard-drive, batteries, and ram. but they are getting scarce so an IBM 380 would be a better choice. They are NOT so easy to upgrade as you have to remove screws and open them up. But parts are plenty full and easy to find. …

What's the issue with the CD-ROM? My Sony 2x put up a bit of a fight with an SB16 MCD, but I got it working eventually. For one, I never could get a floppy cable (34-pin) working with it, and ended up crimping a new straight-through 34-pin cable instead. Not sure what difference it would've made, …

I like the HP z220 Small Form Factor for it's size and performance. Fitted with SSD's it provides good performance.

These sound really good with a Sound Blaster Audigy 2zs and Klipsch Pro media speakers. Plug and Play with MS-Windows and Linux. Or Terratec sound cards.

Well, I don't know if I will be able to get the original Sony 2x 30-pin CDROM drive to work which is connected to the Media Vision PAS16 sound card. So what should I do? Keep the original Media Vision PAS16 sound card and use an 40-pin IDE CDROM or Use a Sound Blaster 16 CT2950 with IDE CDROM ?

You could try a Sound Blaster Pro 2.0 (ISA) or an Sound Blaster Vibra 16 with Yamaha OPL. ( ISA) I use a Sound Blaster live 5.1 with live drive in my SS7 builds.
