If tere is no picture, then the problem is either cable or video card or PCB of the LCD itself. Is therean image on external monitor? Does the screen flicker or react anyhow if you move the screen? So you need to boot from floppy, run ECU (eisa configuration utility) that works with the motherboard and supply a .cfg file for the card you want to use and assign resources. Okay, I checked and re-seated the cache chips and tried both types of TAG chips and it still will NOT register with my bios. So they are NOT working. I double checked the jumpers and they are correct. Any ideas what maybe wrong ?

So if I remove all the cache chips but one and leave the TAG installed. I can check each cache chip individually to see if it's good using "cachechk" program ? Will this method work ?

The cache on my 486dx2-66 motherboard is NOT working. It does not register with the computer. Originally this motherboard came with 64kb. but it is upgradeable to 256kb.
