Okay, I have all the parts in but I am finding out that this Gateway 2000 bios is a pain to work with. I am having trouble trying to get hard-drives to work with this bios. Work in Progress.

I have found out that it is really more trouble than it is worth trying to build a 486 computer with todays used parts. It's hard to find good parts and it is a gamble to buy used parts. It is much easier, reliable and less expensive to build a DOS computer with modern parts like many You-tubers …

You can change the cache settings in the bios to slow down the computer also there are some programs available to slow down the CPU for playing old games.

Update: The Creative labs cdrom controllers will not work in this build as I want to use WinNT351 and there are NO drivers for this card. Only Win95/98 drivers. Hello, I searched the library but did not find any driver for the Creative CT1870 CDROM controller ISA card. I believe this is the same card that came with the "Creative Labs PC-DVD Encore 12X ". Does anyone know where I can find this driver ?

Here are the drivers for this Diamond sound chip card. Works with DOS/3x/NT/95/98 I did not see the drivers in the library list.
