And what function can windows95 have on a 486 if it is used for 90% in DOS? I would have used it to transfer files more comfortably than with DOS ... but for that also win3.11 can be enough

Wich os is better for this kind of system? have 32Mb ram but i can reach 64Mb, trident 9400 and vlbus IDE controller. Win98SE will be too slow without advantage respect win95 on this computer? Tnks.

I take this opportunity for something I have in my head for a while. What is the benefit of using 5x86P75 instead of DX2? Aside from a benchmark talk, it's not as fast as a pentium so you earn some frames in heavy games like Doom but you lose the fact of having the legendary DX2 in your computer. …

Yes, I’ve been looking for a PS/1 with VLB slot but after researching it you don’t need a VLB slot because IBM but really good graphics chips in these PS/1’s . All you can put in a VLB slot is a graphics card or IDE controller. And there are NO open bays for more IDE drives. It already has built in …

Exist a version with Vesa Local Bus ora only PC330 has? IBM models are a nightmare to find correct models/spec.

Any of you have an IBM 486 with SelectaBus? it is an interesting dual model with ISA+VESALB or ISA+PCI if I understand correctly

I'm thinking same of you about the noise, my IBM 300GL desktop for example is a PentiumII/III with only ONE inudible fan that cool everithing, from PSU to the CPU, original engineering by IBM, fantastic. For know if my computer is on or off you must look the power led!
