I checked our code. as long as the -t cdrom flag is present the label set function will be aware of not making it all uppercase. for cdroms we read the the first sectors of the cdrom to find the label. so we should get the real label from DT as well. Given that lowlevel access is available

At my place max cycles often results in the cpu setting itself in power save mode. So schedulers can't be trusted either at times. Might have nothing todo with this problem though

thought that there was a free version of hiew. at least that is what I use to hex edit files under dos. it can truncate files as well

or if it is a cga game, be sure to start dosbox in cga mode as else the wrong palette might be selected in rare cases

maybe read the readme of dosbox concerning the storage problem. maybe the game will work then. Alternatively you can buy the game preinstalled from www.gog.com

thought we only supported bximage from bochs,. maybe specify the layout and don't trust on dosbox its autoguessing code for bootdisks not created by bximage

DAGGERFALL is the wrong label it is Daggerfall and imgmount does make a difference else we wouldn't be speaking of it.
