ultima 7 doesn't have a builtin speed control I recall. So the only way to get the characters move at the right speed is to have a slow pentium. pentium 75 maybe although i that might even be too fast allready

Okay I got the freeware file bak2.zip unzipped it . unzipped krondorz.exe ran install.exe in dosbox selected option 3 (save settings) ran krondor.exe in dosbox game loads (takes a while though)

ubuntu 7.10 comes with 0.71 the larger window is possible with 0.65 for reversing the colours you either have to play with the source or use some sort of ansi escape ocode

game seems to work fine if you run cdsetup C: to setup the sound and instalation directories. The max setting messes up the speed a bit though

you have to set machine=cga inside dosbox.conf dosbox emulates it.

there is allready a bug report for batchfiles that call themselves a.bat contents echo hello a.bat but it's not a priority to fix as it is not a bug. more a stupidity of the user to create such a bat file
