The dosbox email addres gets quite regularly a help request from women. Maybe they prefer to mail instead of using this forum.

please make a screenshot and post it here of your attempt to mount something try at least mount c c:\ maybe ther is something in the errormessage dosbox reports

I'm not very familiar with VISTA. but if we need to move the configfile to a different place, then I'm open for suggestions.

We don't report that you mounted it as floppy. the only way you can see it (from a users perspective) is by looking at the amount of freespace (under the hood there are some more subtile differences)

take a look at the railroads tycoon deluxe version of 2kgames. (freeware download) I think it incorperates what you want

Hi, If you are running Vista and have some time to spare then please post in this thread. I'm looking for people to test the next version of DOSBox on Vista. One of our beta testers reported the next version less stable on Vista then 0.70. I would like to confirm this and try to find cause of this …

dos 1.0 isn't very useful nor compatible as it lacks a lot of the internal functions (has no file handles, only file control blocks)

some filtering should be possible especially as ascii 26 ^Z is the end of file sign in dos text files.

yes. it's a midi port try pmidi -l to find your port (usually it's the lowest of your soundcard +1 (so usually 17:0 )

Looking at the solution: Isn't this a host level problem then ? I recall we have simalar code in dos_file:::read after a write DOSBox itself does no caching of the data.
