ah yes. you need patch for it. (a small exe you can run in dosbox) or use the cvs version of dosbox. if you search the forum for biomanace and patch or so you might find it

uhm try the cvs version of dosbox. See the development forum 0.63 had in imcomplete pic decoding and I think 7cog sometimes created a path that wasn't emulated. Dosbox exists in such a case. The CVS should have a more complete handling. At least enough for 7cog

well It's darker. but you could modify your tv to show it lighter. I prefer the darker variant so I coded that in as default. a personal touch from me that would be :) (changed the darkness a bit to the darker side) I don't have any plans on making that user selectable before you ask it :) …

well it's not just text artifacts. it's just anything that blends. We just interpreted the mode wrong Must have been weird to code for it though. Some more screenies

sometimes it's caused by an application in your toolbar. in all cases it was never dosbox. either videocard driver but most of the the time an application in your toolbar

ctrl-f9 is the default exit key for dosbox. not really a fault.

I've been in contact with the author. I've implemented a similar algorithm although less advanged, because of restrictions in dosbox This is a screenshot of the titlescreen. (cga composite mode) The text is readable I would say. This isn't in the cvs yet

really ? hmm weird. Then you have to bind it to the pause key. That one is certainly not send as many people complain about that.

change the screenshot key in the mapper to plain f5 then you don't need to press control and the f5 key isn't send to the application

sam and max doesn't work in dosbox ? Weird. Don't have the game anymore, but most scumm games work fine.

hmm I recall debugging this game once with harekiet. it mixes int10 calls and raw register programming while updating the screen. The game was broken as the no text showed up at all. Wrong mask or something like that. Anyway to "cure" it you have to play a bit with the int10 calls that write to …

yeah still thinking about that patch. currentmode isn't used a lot, but it's used at 2 or 3 locations and I don't know what a real bios reports on those. (especially that vesa table information function)
