well The bug is fixed in the cvs. but it's just uncommon to disable it. but if you don't like the pcbeeper sounds I can understand it somehow.

Hi Moe, I've added GCC_UNLIKELY macro to dosbox. (see config.h after a cvs update/autogen.sh/configure) I use it in pic.cpp. Can you confirm that I use it correctly ? And you can use it in your patches as well. Qbix

well frameskip=10 means that only 6-7 frames per second are drawn If that is too much for you, you might consider getting a faster pc.

uhm the redesign of the drives to be able to do it still resides on my harddisk. Did some other "cool" stuff first. Harekiet did some coding on it as well.

the 13750 with frameskip 0 is something your laptop can not handle. It's not fast enough. hence my lower recommendations.

uhm try selecting overlay in dosbox.conf frameskip=2 and cycles=5000

the only time I had a problem like that (windows crashing if you set it higher then 640x480x256) was when the video card wasn't totally inserted correctly in the AGP slot. (what ever the reason).
