well dosbox emulates no high memory better said: It reports none available. This is done as dosbox has more than avarage amounts of free base memory so the high memory isn't needed. That mp thingie doesn't agree with us on the matter it seems

no not completely. simple -> normal is an increase in emulation capabilities. although simple will switch to normal if it detects that paging is used. full is just a completely seperate thing. our cvs is in general really stable 😀 you can use it as a regular release if you like. A new release isn't near and if it was I wouldn't tell you about it. nothing personal. but I hate to get emails complaining about that version that was to be released soon.

did you try compiling the cvs of dosbox on macos x ? there have been some fixes. but very little to the files handling part though. you didn't mount the directory as cdrom did you ? and you have the filepermissions on 666 ? else you use the debugger of dosbox to see if something interresting happens …
