well text mode can easely be read. the problem is more how to get the information (cross-platform!!!!!) into the os.

the game tries to map standard video memory into ems. what a bad and slow trick I don't think we support it. you could try disabling ems in dosbox.

just tried it with 0.63 works fine you might want to check your 2nd reality download as it runs fine with default setup of dosbox

dosbox doesn't touch the system time. it only uses to set the date and time on startup (more or less)

well i would wait till 0.63 hits the debian archives (should allready be in unstable by now) the file in question is called con and support for that one has improved a lot since 0.61

there is no config.sys to do that. We put the message there to see if somebody/something actually used that call.

Maybe in the future or so. did you try swapping with ctrl-f4 ? (when mounting multiple images at the same time ?

First of all virtual PC is much older then dosbox hence more developped The speed comes probably from dynamic retranslation (as our x86-x86 dynamic core) I have no idea what the speeds of virtual PC are but a dynamic core in dosbox that handles ppc would give a boost of 400 % or so .

odd. i would have suspected that set time would be more critical then. But maybe the data deals with dates and such. It's not very complicated to add. So who knows.
