well you could try downloading dosbox0.63 for the mac from www.holgwegner.com (radnor uses that site as well) and then start dosbox manually and see if it's better We happened to have fix some coprocessor bugs in both 0.62 and 0.63

render section has some scalers too bad overlay isn't good for you as then you could have used hwscale=....

well if you downloaded it you should do dpkg -i filename You might need several dependencies... If you want to install software the debian way you should create a working apt. if you are running testing/stable. You should wait a few days as the dosbox for debian should appear on the debian site …

uhm yes the amount of ems memory that is. but there is still that lowmem Any way the limit is now 63 mb. 1 mb lowmem 63 mb highmem (memsize=63)

Type the following command as root: apt-get install libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-net1.2-dev libpng12-dev This will give you most of the needed files. Not all but enough to compile a good dosbox (you can skip the latter 2 if they don't exist (they do in testing)) (The first one is sdl package you want)
