added it. added some support disabling and enabling the mouse and reporting that instead of mouse.shown. Please try it sometime. I don't have the games in question and I'm eager for the results.

usually keyboard and mousestuff is used for stopping the counter of the screensaver. Just try playing with keyboard and see if it still happends. It's just a wild thought. It could be wrong.

you can use any version of sdl you like. some say the one distributed with 0.58 is very good.

yes in autoexec.bat and exit. the window title is locked in the source so you would have to modify it. Please obey gpl when changing and distributing the changed bineary.

maybe it will be fixed maybe not.... there have been some fixes to the dos files routines which might help you. But games that really run to run from a floppy are usually pain in the a** as dosbox doesn't support lowlevel diskroutines (well not all) (and can never support them)

a program that needs 171 files open at one time is evil 😀 Any way. I have too look up where to set it in the source. (btw the game itself should be able to set the files to 171) it's just a doscall I'll get back to you.

try configureing with --enable-core-inline helps a lot if combined with the proper -march Then with current cvs 12 k is possible at an 1800xp

i'm not sure if 16 bit graphics mode are supported by 0.60 probably not as the game reports.

the linking against debug/libdebug.a is always done. But in the normal case the lib is empty. Anyway. Try looking in the configure output. it should contain checking curses.h usability... yes checking curses.h presence... yes checking for curses.h... yes checking for initscr in -lcurses... yes …

hmmm it seems like a copy right protection thingie. try mounting it wit -ioctl but I think you should keep trying it with otherways as I think this game will run real slow if it runs at all

at runtime (e.g. configfile) would be "hard and a waste of branches. compiletime it's better to code it.... with a #define or so.
