I haven't made a decision on the game yet. Skyrim was a competent time sink (competent at being a time sink), as for Fallout 4, it's already a high praise to call it mediocre. As for what I've seen about the game, it looks boring. Not something I'd pay 70€ for (which is already 10% more than $70).

I always just assumed W98 is simply slower. I didn't do extensive testing, but I also noticed with a couple of my graphics card that they don't score as high in W98 as they do in XP. Something like a 20% difference with Ti4200 for example.

What about PCI graphics FX5xxx - IMO because it's PCI card so definitely it's win9x-compatible (an interface and a driver) and it can be purchased new on ebay or ali.
