Now that's a nice P4 system :) (well truth to be told the Pentium IV is soon nearing 20 years old... It's really weird that Intel kept it as a part of their lineup during the transition from PGA to LGA) By the way those Arctic Silencer coolers really remind me of the HIS IceQ Radeon card's coolers …

The eMac also had a proprietary VGA connector that you could hack onto a normal VGA cable. As for the DV iMacs, it's not possible to use it as an external CRT monitor (I happen to have a iMac DV 400 as well, I'm definitely not going to try and modify it as a CRT monitor)

That would be likely since Copper is one of the best conducting metals (both thermally and electrically) but yeah aluminium isn't far off copper at all in terms of thermal conductivity. Edit: yep Intel does indeed use copper to make IHSes (specifically, nickel-plated copper)

Avoid MCA PS/2s at all cost, they're not really DOS gaming machines... (well they can be, but sans the sound, and splurging a few grands for a MCA Soundblaster.... IMO this isn't worth the financial pain) The ISA PS/2 models are fine however.

I still use a Apple M2452 keyboard... If that is old enough 🤣 and in doubt, I also use 2000's (they're from roughly the beginning of the 2000's) Sony SRS-A202 speakers, these have quite a bit of a punch of speakers for their size.

As long it has a bootable BIOS, you should be fine (for instance, Adaptec AHA-2940 series cards come to mind) and to add what tpowell said, CD/DVD drives will not work with these pci IDE/SATA controllers under dos, maybe with MSCDEX (?) that might work but I don't have high hopes.
