NB, when you remove the chip, the chip model may be on a silkscreen also under the socket itself. 😉

On high DPI screens the overridden mouse cursor in this forum becomes quite tiny. I understand that it is the retro cursor, but in retro time, there were no high DPI screens on which the operating system could also scale all ui elements. @Babasha, did you check the contents of the links, you are sharing, yourself? There are no MR BIOSes available for almost any 486 class motherboards, including SIS471.

I've seen one 386 motherboard that used 72pin ram. Maybe it would make more sense to use 72pin ram and forget the 30pin simms, if the board is created today? Did 386's use 72 pin SIMM's back then? Those tiny-flimsy PCBs of those sound cards look like something made with Crystal chips... Never seen such cards with YMF chips.

Booted my 486 up and got the speedsys to run. FYI, the hdd test can't finish properly with my no-name chinesium 4GB CF card. But it still paints a picture what the driver achieves on this machine.

Is the "Assign IRQ to VGA" also relevant to VLB graphics cards? That might also be one of the jumper's purpose.
