@red-ray, @CuPid, here are the latest runs. For cpu-z, i didn't need the ini file any more and the benchmark did run in around 10 seconds.

Still had to use the ini config file, otherwise stays at PCI detection forever. It seems, it detected the cpu better now. Though, i would expect the clock to be same between 386 and 486, as i have changed nothing but the cpu. Benchmark took 14 seconds.

I've restored my pc to 386DX (with FPU) already, but with it the benchmark run for 26 seconds.

@AlaricD, i have also the M321 board. It also had soldered cache and soldered wires instead of pins. I desoldered all of that, placed full set of sockets and missing decoupling capacitors and upgraded it this way to 256kB of cache. About interleaving, what or how can i check?

@CuPid, there you have it! Did a run with 486DLC and 386DX. Only difference is the cpu, everything else is the same. I think the 486DLC's speed is slightly wrong, it should be 40MHz pretty much exactly. I did not change any jumpers, therefore it should run on the same speed as 386DX, which is pretty …

Took my 386DX40 pc, installed the 486DLC40 on it and installed Windows 95. Surprisingly snappy! @CuPid, version 1.89.3.x32, Windows 95 OSR 2.5. When i start it on my 486dlc, it loads to 10% (PCI) and just has stayed there for like 15min. Any suggestions?

It is recommended that you fill the larger chip. So if you have 2Mb chip and 1Mb ROM, put the ROM in twice: one from the beginning and one from the middle. To my knowledge, there is no standard for ISA riser slot positioning on motherboard or lock down mechanism. Therefore different motherboards may have the slot for riser in slightly different positions and the case may not be able to accomodate the shape or the screw holes of this particular riser.
