Hello Anyone tried connecting creative's x-fi front bay to the prelude? I tried it with no success. Maybe there is a pinout for the prelude header somewhere? Thanks!

Hm this reminds me some errors I have in some later systems when I enable the "system BIOS cacheable" option. Try turning off all cache & shadowing associated settings - I don't remember if there are any in MegaPC though

For me yes, I had a bit less problems with the DTC. It was not trouble free though. If I remember correctly I had some issures with Win98SE and reverted to MS driver don't remember the details though and haven't tested NT4. For the promise one maybe there was something wrong with my setup, can't …

One of the reasons I switched to the DTC 2278EB was that I got so many problems with the promise drivers. For me even win3.x drivers hang the system and I couldn't start windows. I have a feeling though that the stock windows NT & 95 drivers from MS would be fine. I guess you need to bench the …

From what I know from mine, you need to connect the mega drive card to the motherboard connector or jumper it to pass the video & audio signals. as for post error, maybe stops because it detects no CMOS battery try pressing F1 and see what happens (I think this is the "continue" button) or del (Bios …

Thanks for that. It seems to go on an IC that is hidden underneath the bios ROM. I'll do more tracing when I have a bit more time. Hopefully is an easy fix. I'm curious though why an IRQ setting of the MPEG player will cause the VRAM to malfunction
