Speaking of that 5v connector for the turbo display... Don't plug that into your hdd activity light header. In some cases the two cables are colored the same. RIP Seagate ST157a ~ 1990 - 2014 ~

Are you referring to the smaller connector that is used on floppy drives? If so, there are adapters that take the bigger molex connectors down to that connector. I don't have the server, all I have is that picture. It's not high res enough to see the model number on the badge. I was thinking it might be some model of the PC RT, but I can't seem to find one that matches it.

Bad RAM chip in bank 0, try reseating the chips. If that doesn't work, try swapping out the simms with known good ones.

Keep in mind, that SCSI card's default settings conflict with the default settings of most soundblaster compatible cards, so make sure to check for conflicts there. The conflict is generally with IO port 330, but depending on the model of sound card it may conflict in other areas.

A lot of older HDD/Floppy controllers didn't come with a BIOS installed, since the motherboard BIOS often takes care of the drives. Are you certain it had a ROM in it originally? Even if it did, the ROM was optional on most cards, and you just set the ROM jumper to 'disable" and it works just fine. …

🤣 what's organization? For the limited organization that I do, I use the clear plastic shoeboxes from The Container Store. It's a popular organization chain in the southern US. They come in several different sizes, and you can buy them in bulk.

Killed a Seagate ST-157a 42Mb IDE HDD one time by hooking up the wrong cable to the drive led header. There was a wire coming from the power supply that looked identical to the case HDD LED wire, and I got them confused. Turned it on, and poof! It toasted the drive, and the FDD/HDD controller.
