I have a couple of Dell Precision 420's with cpu on daughter board. And AFAIK, there exists dual daughter boards for this machine .. EDIT: Sorry, the Precision 420 was dual PIII. The machines with daughter boards were Compaq ProLiant 1500

IIRC, the CPU only checks the 66/100MHz pin at boot-time, so probably won't be able to change speed on the fly, without a reset .. That check has nothing to do with the speed it runs at. i'm no expert with mosfets but check the capacitors around it. maybe these mosfets run hot. if it's getting to 80deg c then even a heatsink might struggle. what voltage you running the cpu at? auto? if so, set it manually. it could be buggy. Checking the capacitors is a very good start. If …

That fan/heatsink combo looks like it is designed to cool the CPU using air from outside the case, thus keeping it cooler?

The case with the 200MMX I'm a almost certain has been designed for earlier generation hardware, giving the turbo button and the 5.25" drive. Which were both no longer common at the MMX era. Looks great, though!

IIRC 3DMark2001 did have that feature, at least in the licensed version .. But hey, Futuremark a actually gives away the license when downloading ..

FWIW, I had a G400MAX back in the day - it didn't show any image in text mode, but as soon as booted into Windows, it worked fine, scored 3DMarks as expected, etc. But until Windows loaded or in a full screen DOS-Prompt, no picture what so ever. Isn't ¡AudioLoca! actually an add-on board, requiring an existing soundcard with pass-through cables and big relays? Actually extracting sound from the existing card even before it is generated to manipulate and enhance and playback at ANY speed up to and including ludicrous?

Not so much bought, but a colleague had two Compaq Proliant 1500 servers for me today .. My estate car is not nearly big enough anymore 🤣 Single Pentium, and some SCSI controller with battery backup. Don't know more yet ..
